Date:12 June 2024
Call handler:[REDACTED]

CALL HANDLER:Family support line, how can I help?
CALLER:Hi. Sorry, I didn't really know who else to call. It's about my daughter.
CALL HANDLER:Okay. Take your time. What's going on?
CALLER:She's nine. She's just - she's not herself. She won't talk to me. She won't go to school. This morning she wouldn't come out of her room and when I finally got her to open the door she was just sitting there, and I asked what was wrong and she said..
(pause)
CALLER:She said nobody likes her anymore. That everyone at school changed. That it's her fault somehow, and she doesn't know what she did.
CALL HANDLER:Has anything happened at school that you're aware of? Any incidents, any fighting?
CALLER:That's the thing. I've asked and asked. She says nothing happened. She says one day everyone just stopped being nice. Her tables got moved. She keeps saying she doesn't know what she's done wrong.
CALL HANDLER:Has she said anything about how she's feeling in herself? Anything that's worried you?
CALLER:She said she wished she could disappear. Not - not like that, I don't think, she's nine, I don't think she means that. But I don't know anymore. I don't know what she means by anything.
CALL HANDLER:Has she said she wants to hurt herself?
CALLER:No. She just keeps saying she doesn't want to be there anymore.
CALL HANDLER:You did the right thing calling. I'm going to talk you through some next steps, and we're going to get some support in place for both of you.
